Dear devotees,
Dandavat pranams.
I would like to send a short report on the next schedule of our beloved
Gurumaharaja, HH Jayapataka Swami, who is leaving today from Coimbatore,
where he was taking ayurvedic treatments to help in his recovery after the
stroke suffered last October 23rd, at ISKCON Juhu temple in Bombay. His
health by Krsna’s mercy has improved. I was not sending regular reports as
His holiness was delivering lectures and giving reports everyday at 6:30 pm
from his room at the ayurvedic centre in the above mentioned city of Tamil
Nadu state.
Today, Friday 22nd of May, 2009 Gurumaharaja leaves the Jagannath Mandir –
Coimbatore (This temple was inaugurated by the then 3 times Prime Minister
Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and HH JPS) towards Kerala by road. From one of the
main cities of Kerala State, he is going to catch a flight to Balaramdesh
along with few devotees. It will be the first international flight outside
of India from October 2008. Devotees are very much eager to have the
association of our beloved Gurumaharaja, basically in the Middle East and
London where he will be stopping on his way to Atlanta – USA for the
Panihatti festival and to undergo some more treatments.
In Balaramdesh devotees have arranged everything for the arrival and staying
for few days of Gurumaharaja, including special doctors and therapists. On
the 29th and 30th of May, HH JPS is scheduled to be in Damodardesh, where a
part from special programs and darsans, GM will be leading the Panihatti
Cida Dahi festival in this yatra.
In The United Kingdom. HH JPS GM will be staying from May 31st at the
Bhaktivedanta Manor in London till June 3rd, the day of his departure to
the USA. Many devotees from all Europe are expected to arrive to have
darsans and association with Gurumaharaja. HH JPS is scheduled to be present
in Atlanta as it has been happening for many years in the Panihatti festival
of our ISKCON temple, as it is the main event in the year for this yatra,
that brings hundreds of devotees from all over the USA. Many important
seminars are held by senior devotees, during these transcendental
festivities.
We humbly request all devotees to please pray more for the safety and health
of Gurumaharaja during his long journey. Preaching is his life and when we
demand from him more rest he says “preaching is my resting time”.
Gurumaharaja doesn’t care too much about his body, but instead he cares
about preaching and promoting as much as possible the glories of the holy
name and the pastimes and teaching of Lord Caitanya, thus fulfilling the
orders and desires of his most beloved and Divine Gurudeva, His Divine Grace
Srila Prabhupada.
As I am doing more interviews with important persons about the preaching
activities and life of Gurumaharaja for the main movie on his story life, I
had the chance to meet with senior officers in Nepal, like the former and
present Presidents of the World Hindu Federation. It was great the way they
praised the work of HH JPS and the importance of his preaching as well as in
promoting and protecting the Sanatan Dharma in every town and village.
