“Srila Prabhupada Vyasa Puja ……..and beyond ”

——————————-

Please accept our humble obeisance. All glories to Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga.

Before noon on 23 August began the celebration of the Vyasa Puja of Srila Prabhupada. This was done in Sri Panca Tattva temple. Guru Maharaj arrived shortly before 11am and took the Darshan of Their Lordships then was directed to the temple where the event was to take place. Guru Maharaj took darshan of Srila Prabhupada and opposite the beautiful Vyasasan altar they had built for him, while some of His spiritual brothers and sisters were reading their offerings. Guru Maharaj was seated in his wheelchair on one side and a moment later gave a talk for 20 minutes about this special celebration for Srila Prabhupada.

The offering Guru Maharaj made this year to Srila Prabhupada was quite extensive and was read by one of his disciples. In fact, I remember that Guru Maharaj made the recording of this offering few months ago and was also a very special day. At the ending of the offering, Guru Maharaj could not contain his tears telling in this offering all the services and instructions Prabhupada had given and left, telling Srila Prabhupada specifically in the present condition in which it is more difficult to achieve in such services to please and follow his instructions. The offering was placed on www.jpsdisciples.com and is worth translating into Spanish because it is a great source of inspiration for us all.

After the offering ceremony then commenced the Abishek of the small murti of Srila Prabhupada. All the disciples of Srila Prabhupada and several other devotees went one by one for bathing Srila Prabhupada. Finally, we performed the closing ceremony then commenced the pushpanjali aroti and kirtan in honor of His Divine Grace.

Some devotees had built a small replica of the ship Jaladuta. Next to the boat and at the back of this was a book of Vyasa Puja offerings of many devotees. The devotees showed the pages of these to Guru Maharaj and some were handwritten. This ship and Vyasa Puja book was indeed a very special offering to Srila Prabhupada. Devotees at that time began to swirl around Guru Maharaj to take his darshan and receive his blessings. Guru Maharaj gave blessings to many of them with the very famous “Lord Jagannath Toothbrush”. In closing, Guru Maharaj was directed toward the terrace of Lotus to take lunch. On reaching His room He said he felt a little sick, again it was His stomach. Unfortunately this time it was my fault, apparently He received from Abishek caranamrita which was served a little wrong, as the devotee who gave it to Him, gave about 3 tablespoons.

Guru Maharaj wanted to lie down in bed to rest for about half an hour and then recovered from the discomfort. After rest and dinner at night Guru Maharaj cut a birthday cake for one of His disciples, a Bengali Brahmacari. Then he went to the temple to witness a play that local devotees put together about Sri Panca Tattva pastimes. At the end of the play He gave darshan and blessings to the participants of the play and to some devotees.

Tonight the elevator stopped working and Guru Maharaj had to wait a while to climb to the terrace. We all thought the elevator may not work tonight and Mahavaraha came up with the idea that if this happened the only option was to climb to the terrace with Guru Maharaj hanging in one of the huge cranes that are building the Temple of Vedic Planetarium. In fact the long “arm” of the crane reaches the terrace. Months ago when Guru Maharaj was just starting to build the temple, was raised in one of these cranes, just to experience or enjoy the view. Fortunately, the elevator worked again. This is summary of Guru Maharaj activities in celebration of his beloved Vyasa Puja of Srila Prabhupada.

On 24th Aug and 25th Aug Guru Maharaj activities returned to normal routine in which there were no festivals or important meetings. At night continues the hearing of the pastimes of Krishna Book. His health is similar to that reported in the last report. He was in the gym in the morning of 24th Aug. In the morning of the 25th Aug after he woke up He began to tell a couple of momentous dreams that He had that night.

The first was something that happened at a temple in South India. In the current reality in the news recently it became known that secretly kept in this temple was an immense treasure in a huge underground room. The value of this treasure is estimated at billions of dollars and had been kept secret for hundreds of years. Concurrently to this news Guru Maharaj dreamed that the devil had stolen a large diamond and ruby is also a large part of the treasure and hid it in a sewer and that Guru Maharaj had seen and discovered it, so He went and told the temple Deity and the Deity had rewarded by giving jewelry and told him to sell the jewellery and with the money build many temples. The jewels were evaluated as in about 30 million dollars, according to the transcendental dream of Guru Maharaj.

The second dream was on Lord Shiva. Guru Maharaj dreamed that He had offered to Lord Shiva prasadam and that Lord Siva had been so pleased with Guru Maharaj who asked Him to give Him more. Lord Shiva was so pleased with Guru Maharaj who gave blessings to Guru Maharaj to recover His health.

Well these were the most important activities of Guru Maharaj in these two days, but were experienced in another consciousness which for us is very difficult to understand. Finally, on the night of 25 Aug He had a meeting with some of his secretaries to define where Guru Maharaj would go after the conclusion of Radhastami for the general meetings of the GBC which will be held in October in Mumbai. The meeting concluded that He would go to Coimbatore for those 3 weeks that is roughly the time span between these two events.

It is still not fully confirmed but apparently Coimbatore is the best option. I end this diary on August 26 at about 2:30 am.
