Dandavat pranams
After been for some time out of Bombay, as I went to Pune that day with HH
Jayapataka Swami and stayed back till the temple opening in Arawade, (4
hours from Pune in Maharashtra) and then to Pandharpur dham, I just came
yesterday early morning by train from Solarpur, reaching at 9:00 am at the
Bhaktivedanta Hospital, wanting to see GM, but found out that His Holiness
was taking bath so decided to come later. Few days back while I was in
Arawade I was told that HH Sivaram Swami and HH Bhaktivikas swami are coming
to see HH JPS before going for GBC meetings at Mayapur Dham. It was great to
see that many senior devotees are coming to visit our beloved Gurudeva on
their way to Mayapur by having a stopover in Bombay. This also gives him a
lot of happiness. So I came back at 11 am and found that GM was in a meeting
with HG Dr. Madhavanada Prabhu and the acupuncturist who was putting some
magnets on the fingers of GM for a special therapy and to help in increasing
his level of sensations in the right leg.
When GM saw me and as u all know we have a special rasa, we always joke and
especially at the time of the first meeting, he pointed out his finger at
me, and says, ¨OHHH, I know you, I think you are the Tusti who have been
representing me all these days in many events´´, all laughed, so yes I told
gm and hugged him and put his hands over my head to seek his blessings. GM
was radiant and looked much better then when I left him. I informed him
about my visits, including to the Vice chancellor of the Maharashtra Open
University in Nasik but he was in Pune as per his instructions to meet him
and seek one branch in Mayapur for devotees to study at a University level,
which I did and updated him on this topic, The professor was very much
helpful and promise al lhelp needed to have a branch in Mayapur dham so we
gonna start working for it. But basically yesterday´s visit to Pandharpur
dham was very special as I was invited by HH Lokanath swami to have darshan
of Lord Vittala, a self manifested deity of Lord Krsna since more then 5000
years ago, (lord Caitanya visited this place as well), a super active deity
that GM likes to visit often as was told by Lokanath swami after his lecture
and given diksha ceremony in the ISKCON temple in the holy village of
Pandharpur on the 10th of February. Maharaja told his disciples that in
Durban during Rathayatras HH JPS GM uses to talk about Lord Vittala and how
much he liked to come here which he did with the safari devotees few years
ago. I also gave him maha tulsi prasada and a garland of this great deity
and informed him how we prayed to this deity for his wellbeing along with
the Brahmans who take care of Lord Vittala, he was very much happy with all
the news, I also showed him the gifts sent by HH Lokanath swami that
includes A framed foto model of the temple, a Maha water from the river
Chandarbhaga in Pandharpur and the clothes of Lord Nityananda from the maha
Abhisheka that Lokanath swami insisted that should be given to HH JPS as it
is Nityananda Prabhu´s appearance day. Also we conveyed the greetings from
all his God brothers present at Arawade festival and the impact of his
speech by phone during the mass meeting at the pandal program right before
the deity greetings. During this speech by phone of GM to the thousands of
devotees, GM told Lokanath swami that he would include Arawade temple in his
next safari tour, all laughed knowing the condition of GM´s health but his
determination to keep on the preaching field as he says, GM also
congratulated Maharaja for having the initiative to open a temple in his
home town to preach Krsna Consciousness to all the nearby villages. This
opening ceremony was like a Gaurpurnima festival in a remote village with a
very high standard deity installation for a medium size temple, with
Rajasthani pink color external walls and many small deities in the parikrams
path. There were many famous faces from ISKCON leaders including 6.500
registered devotees and 50.000 pilgrims. Many politicians were also present
and one of them the finance minster of Maharashtra offered 1 crore of rupees
for this project.
HH Lokanath swami is very much respected in this area, as it is his home
town and have done a lot for it. This temple of Krsna (Radha Gopal) makes
all the opulence’s to be manifested for the pleasure of his devotees who are
serving properly the mission of Srila Prabhupada. At that time I informed GM
about the arrival of HH Sivaram Swami to Mira Road temple and that soon will
be coming to the hospital to see him, he told me about his timings of
therapies to inform Maharaja. When I went to inform maharaja found out that
he was arriving to the hospital, so we immediately went up to the room and
as their greeting was very warm and reciprocating, Here something special
happened, Sivaram asked GM about his health and how he feels, so Gm replied
well is is like when u went to see me in spain after the attack I had on my
throat, but that time 2 things are different, 1st, is that HH Tamal Krishna
Goswami is not here and the 2nd, is that Gaurnitai deities are not with you.
So maharaja told GM, that this time he was having the Radha Damodar deities
of Srila Swarup Damodar (from Caitanya Lila´s time) but if he would have
known would have brought them here. GM told him we are having here also
Gaurnitai deities in the small temple down along with Lord Jagannath and
also lord Jagannath mobile altar is always giving darsan to patients in
their rooms.
Maharaja informed GM about his deities which are the small deities of Radha
Damodara that were worshipped by Srila Swarupa Damodar Goswami from Caitanya
lila and that Lord Krsna is using the flute towards the side of Radharani
and that he got Their Lordships 7 years ago, and that he wanted to bring
them to hospital but as GM is going to Mayapur he will have the chance to
take Their darsan over there.
HH Sivaram maharaja was impressed with the improvement of Guru Maharaja in
compare to when he saw him in The ICU at Hinduja hospital long time back,
and expressed his amazed feeling to see his speech improvement a lot, and
starting remembering all their talks on the phone from London some time ago
via phone conference and that now they were able to understand everything GM
speaks.
HH SRS also reminded GM that few days back he was reading the 11th chapter
of Adi lila about the associates of Lord Nityananda and some how or other he
forgot the name of the place and immediately GM reminded him, it is
Shalagram, so he was amazed by the memory of GM that was not affected. Then
GM had to go down to the therapy room and maharaja went with him. While in
therapy room, Maharaja was attentive to al physiotherapies and was
commenting on few of them, also spoke to GM about how Lord Caitanya is
taking care personally of his health, and that GM needs to take care more of
his health from now onwards. While in physiotherapy room, HG Mahamantra
Prabhu from Delhi came and had a chat with GM and informed about Delhi
devotees always praying for his recovery.
HH SRS met Dr. Siromani and enquired a lot about GM status, then entered the
´physiotherapy chamber and was with GM till 1:30 pm as he has to go for
lunch that was prepared by the Bhaktivedanta hospital staff which was
served by Dr. Giriraj and organized by the spiritual care office. At 2:30 pm
maharaja supposed to go to the airport to fly to Kolkata. I was invited to
honor prasada with HH Sivaram swami, were also we had talks on few topics,
while at the same time we were informed that HH Devamrita swami was in the
5th floor of the hospital as he also has high blood pressure, so after lunch
maharaja went to see him. During our lunch maharaja spoke about a Srila
Prabhupada disciple who is making a study about how at this time many senior
devotees are getting sick. We were also informed that HH Radha Govinda swami
is now in Vrndaban after been discharged from Hospital. HH JPS GM also gave
darsan to the 3 devotees who came along with HH Sivaram Swami from Hungary.
(Maharaja informed me that he is writing a new book about the Braja Mandal
Parikram but in an extensive way and more complete then all previous
versions).
After HH SRS left I went back to see GM and found out that he just got a
call from HG Gopijanavallabha Prabhu then from HH Radhanath Swami (RNS) who
is in Mayapur (we were all there during these talks), later on Pragosh
Prabhu spoke with GM and after HH BPS, GM informed them that he is probably
going to Mayapur on the 20th of February to be during last days of GBC
meetings as well as for the Maha Abhisheka. The team of doctors from both
Hinduja and Bhaktivedanta Hospital authorized GM to travel, but seems he
will be back after one week to the hospital, and then after to MAYAPUR
during His 60th Vyasapuja festival depending on the crcumstandces at that
time.
We are all working to provide the best professionals and places of post
stroke healing therapies for our beloved GM to speed up to the maximum his
recovery. While on the phone with HH RNS, maharaja reminded our GM about the
lecture he gave on the phone during Nityananda Trayodasi to the devotees in
Chowpati Mandir. ( I am posting it below of this text as well as the report
of the visit of GM to Juhu temple sent by Tejagaurangi dd).
GM was also informed about arrangement of his staying in Mayapur after the
20th by HH Bhakti Purusottama Swami.
HH JPS GM after the physiotherapy was taking to eat fruits in the park, at
this time came Daiva Simha Prabhu from Bangalore with his wife to take
blessings from GM.
GM then was taken to the lobby of the hospital to have darsan of Srila
Prabhupada then to the 2nd floor to offer fruits to Hanuman´s Deity, then to
the room for prasada. Then as usual rest till 6 then receiving devotees,
then therapy, dinner prasada and rest again.
As I was informed by devotees, during the last few days HH Bhakti Vikas
Swami and HG Ambarish Prabhu came to see HH JPS, so I am posting their
photos with GM along with this text, including the pictures with HH Sivaram
Swami with GM taken yesterday.
Also HH Keshava Bharati Goswami came to visit GM on the 9th of february
2009.
