Diary of GM, Gaura Purnima festival

Dear Devotees,

Please accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga!

Guru Maharaja spent the Gaura Purnima festival in association of his
servants and loving disciples, mostly those who stay here assisting him in
his therapy and few of those who came only for this occassion. Guru Maharaja
participated in temple programs, yajna and abisheka to the Deity of Lord
Caitanya. After the speech of Svavas Prabhu, temple president of ISKCON LA,
Guru Maharaja gave morning Srimad Bhagavatam class in the temple that was
attended mostly by the community devotees. Guru Maharaja also gave the
evening class in the temple that was attended by many devotees, friends and
visitors. Guru Maharaja was talking about the glorious advent of Lord
Caitanya in this world. After class Guru Maharaja was participating in huge
and ecstatic kirtan surrounded by many devotees. Guru Maharaj was trying to
dance in all his capacity and that was the source of bliss for all devotees
around him. Although his legs and arms needed support for making a move, his
face and eyes were showing that his heart is dancing in the ocean of love
for Lord Caitanya and affection for the devotees. After that Guru Maharaja
went to honour prasadam in prasadam hall.

Today, Saturday 06th March, Guru Maharaja gave a wonderful morning class in
the temple about the pastimes of Lord Caitanya with Kolaveca Sridhar.
Devotees who attended the class felt like they were transferred in Mayapur
Dham by the wings of inspiration and enthusiasm that were radiating from
Guru Maharaja’s words. Inspite of being overwhelmed by many so called
mundane activities in the course of his therapies, Guru Maharaja is
internally always protected by the mercy of Lord Caitanya and His holy Dham,
and sometimes we have a good fortune to have a glimpse of that thruth.

Three weeks ago Guru Maharaja started to follow the new diet program based
on the results of food sensitivity blood test that Vijay Vishnu Prabhu, his
disciple and certified nutritionist, arranged for him and prescribed the
diet accordingly. There are certain foods that he has to avoid for 6 to 3
months, and certain foods has to be rotated every 4 to 2 days. The results
of strictly following this program should benefit his overall health,
immune system, body detoxification, weight loss, stop of water retention,
cardiovascular system, blood pressure and liver. It’s quite austere for Guru
Maharaja to follow it because he cannot take many things that he likes. His
cook Ivesvara dasa is working hard to make the best out of ingredients
that are allowed to be used. Whoever wants to help with cooking for Guru
Maharaja in the next 3 to 6 months has to follow this diet very strictly
and cooperate with Ivesvara dasa regarding all the details.

Your servant,
Teja Gaurangi devi dasi
