Damodardesh part 2
Dear devotees,
Dandavat Pranams,
This is just to give a brief report on the Itinerary of HH Jayapataka Swami
who left this afternoon Damodardesh Yatra heading towards Kanayadesh. After
His holiness will go to Chennai and then to Mayapur as per last plans.
Gm had a very fare welling day at Srivallabha prabhu’s house, i will try to
make a full report tomorrow on his extraordinary visit to this part of the
world, The last program was attended by more than 700 devotees with stage
program and ecstatic dances about Krsna Lilas.
HH Jayapataka Swami in Shyamadesh. (26 -27 & 28-12-2011).

I have sent earlier some small reports on the activities of HH Jayapataka
Swami in Shyamadesh since his arrival from Avataridesh, however I want to
give much more elaborated report on these almost 3 days of intense program
with the devotees and our beloved Gurumaharaja.
After arriving from Avataridesh Gurumaharaja had prasad, while having Prasad
His Holiness commented that while one is taking Prasad no negative comments
should be made on the Prasad if it was convenient or not, this could be doe
separately, beside of that he instructed that the host should never be the
same coordinator as they will come for him for every single detail needed
and this will create a mess at the end and overload him with many
responsibilities.
HH JPS leaves Shyamadesh towards Gaurangadesh and then Damodardesh
on 28-12-2011.After been for almost 3 days in Shyamadesh, HH Jayapataka Swami arrived to
Gaurangadesh Yatra to an ashram called Gauranga kutir at 7:00 pm. More than
150 devotees who are under the servitorship (coordination) of HG Ramananda
Gaura Prabhu, welcomed him with Guru puja. Then after His Holiness gave a
special lecture on general vaishnava topics, the responsibility of the
Grihasta community and how they have to prepare themselves to go back to
Godhead this life time. In addition to that He pointed out on how much they
are responsible for the children’s spiritual life.

I would like to inform all of you that we just arrived at almost 3:00 pm
coming from Avataridesh to one of the main streets in Damodardesh in the
house of Their Graces Bhakta Krishnarajan Prabhu and Sudevi Rani dd, where
the Shyamadesh program will be held.
We had an extraordinary prgoram at Avataridesh, devotees were very nice and
generous and very devotional towards every and each one, the night program
held before yesterday was amazing and HH Jayapataka Swami gave an
extraordinary lecture full of Bhakti and special pastimes on Lord Jagannath,
i will send a special report on this. the program was attended by more than
300 devotees. also yesterday there was an intiation ceremony and darsans and
meetings with leaders of the newly created Damodara ARATI TEAM.

Today 24th of December, we had the mercy to receive His Holiness Jayapataka
Swami Gurumaharaja to Avataridesh. Gurumaharaja reached via Damodardesh
airport at 11:45 am. It took till almost 2 pm to get out from the
immigration section. His holiness is coming directly from Mathuradesh were
he was holding special programs for 5 days after been in Balaramdesh for 3
days. All very succefull yatras in the Middle East.

Message from GM
My dear Diksa, Siksa, Shelter, Aspiring disciples and well wishers,
Please accept my blessings. All glories to Srila Prabhupada whose books can
save the entire world.
In this month of the book distribution marathon, I would like to share a few
thoughts with you and encourage you to implement them in your daily Krsna
Conscious life.
In a letter dated April 17 1970, Srila Prabhupada personally wrote the
following words to me:
“The books are being written specifically for my students and I am so glad
to learn that you read them so carefully. The words are ambrosial because
they are not my personal words, they are instructions of my predecessors and
I am just trying to administer them to my best knowledge. That is the way of
Parampara system.”
I desire that those who are inspired by me take these instructions from
Srila Prabhupada very seriously. I want that all my followers read Srila
Prabhupada’s books very carefully. Srila Prabhupada in his letter to me
informs us that he becomes very glad by that. We all have to please Srila
Prabhupada and our success in Krishna Consciousness is measured by how much
we can please him.
We should not only read these books carefully but also regularly. In a
letter to Urvasi Patel dated July 25, 1975, Srila Prabhupada writes:
“Be sure to read my books very carefully, Bhagavad-gita, then
Srimad-Bhagavatam, and then Caitanya Caritamrta. You should read every day
without fail and become fixed in our philosophy.”
In this month of Book Distribution Marathon, I request all of you to begin
serious and regular study of Srila Prabhupada’s books and simultaneously
preach by distributing these books profusely:
“Be assured that there is no more direct way to preach than to distribute
Krishna conscious books. Whoever gets a book is benefited. If he reads the
book he is benefited still more, or if he gives the book to someone else for
reading, both he and the other person is benefited. Even if one does not
read the book but simply holds it and sees it, he is benefited. If he simply
gives small donation towards the work of Krishna consciousness he is
benefited. And anyone who distributes these transcendental literatures, he
is also benefited. Therefore Sankirtana is the prime benediction for the
age.” Srila Prabhupada [Letter to German disciples, 6 May 1977]
Mokshada Ekadasi usually falls in the month of December every year. It is on
this holy day that Lord Sri Krishna spoke the Bhagavad-gita to Arjuna. I was
informed that this year, a very nice program was arranged in Sri Mayapur.
Devotees assembled in the Pancha Tattva Temple and from 8.30 am onwards
began to recite each verse of the Bhagavad-gita beginning with the first
chapter. The temple room was packed. The recitation took about four hours.
There was a fire yagna towards the end and beginning with it the entire 18th
chapter was recited while offering oblations unto the fire. HH Bhakti Caru
Maharaja and HH Bhakti Purusottama Maharaja were present in Mayapur during
this event. The devotees who recited the entire Bhagavad-gita were all very
ecstatic. Maybe other parts of the world may also be interested to organise
this program in their yatras in future years.

We have a great 60th birthday celebration for HH Sriman Balabhadra Bhattacharya Prabhu. I will post the pictures on facebook and send you the link. I read your offering to start of the program, after that we had talk from Vedasara, and a few other God-brothers. Several devotees offered Garlands, gifts and came forward to get Balabhadra Prabhu’s blessings. Also we chanted for about 30-45 minutes to seek their Lordships Blessings.
Also at the same time we celebrated your disciple Madan Mohan Prabhu and his wife Mohini Radha Devi Dasi (the old Gujarathi couple) 60th wedding anniversary. Not sure if you have heard, but Madana Mohan prabhu is 85 years old and he was just diagnosed of Lung Cancer. It is 4th stage. It will be really nice if you can write him letter and give your blessings.
Madana Mohan prabhu has become very weak. There were about 150+ congregation in attendance.
Balabhadra Prabhu was very touched and moved to hear your offering.
