Dear Prabhus / Matajis,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
His Holiness Jayapataka Swami Guru Maharaja is now getting treated in Los
Angeles. According to his secretary and personal doctor, his health is
improving but very slowly.
I had previously made an appeal to the devotees to chant extra rounds and
offer to the Lord for the speedy recovery of His Holiness’s health. Though
His Holiness has been saved from the very critical health crisis due to the
prayers and chanting of thousands and thousands of devotees around the world
still he has not yet recovered fully to travel and preach around the world
to fulfill the desire of his Guru maharaja, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila
Prabhupada.
At the time of the stroke in Mumbai when his health was at danger we had
come across with many astrologers. Many of their predictions regarding the
recovery of his health had come true.
Recently one of this well wisher astrologer called up a devotee and has
adviced the devotee as follows:
“The devotees have to chant for Maharaja’s speedy recovery.
He is supposed to be okay before 15th Feb but he said that the disciples are
not very serious like before.
According to his calculations he is saying that before 26th May, Maharaja
should be completely okay. But all the devotees should chant for him nicely.
We should also do honey abhishek to the deities while medidating and praying
for Maharaja’s speedy recovery. If we do this then 100% recovery will be
there soon.”
All the above suggestions were given by the astrologer. Now it is upto us if
we want to see Guru Maharaja’s health to have complete recovery by 26th May.
Whenever and wherever there would be Harinama event we could offer the
results of those chanting for Guru Maharaja’s recovery. Also devotees can
individually organize different ceremonies like yajna, book distribution,
Narasimha Kavaca chanting etc while sincerely praying to the Lord for Guru
Maharaja’s health. It is Guru Maharaja’s strong desire to be fully
recuperated in order to travel and preach the glories of the Lord.
Guru Maharaja has stopped his traveling around the world for last fifteen
months. Thus thousands of devotees are deprived of his association. When I
travel to different parts of the world including Bangladesh I can see how
devotees feel themselves like a fish out of water being deprived of
his association. We are also getting so much pressure from different parts
of the world for Guru Maharaja to visit their places. In order for Guru
Maharaja to start traveling he wants to start walking by himself.
To conclude once again I request all the devotees to make prayers, chant
extra rounds, observe various ceremonies, rituals, to perform Harinam
Sankirtana etc so with the mercy of the Lord, Guru Maharaja can have a fast
recovery.
I am making this appeal to all devotees in general and specially to
the disciples and well wishers of HH Jayapataka Swami Guru Maharaja. I would
like to humbly request all disciples of His Holiness who are in leadership
position to make some extra effort to see that this letter can reach to the
wider community of devotees which will be an inspiration for them to timely
respond to this appeal. You can announce it in your congregation, post it on
your notice board or even post it on your regional website.
Our only hope now is Harinama and prayers. We would like to post all of your
reports and offerings on the website which can inspire each other. So kindly
